This is a rare four-page advertising herald (flyer) promoting the one-week,<br>Post-Broadway engagement of the Winter Garden's Annual Fall Revue "THE PASSING SHOW OF 1914" at the Alvin Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania beginning April 5th, 1915. (The<br>production opened June 1st, 1914 at New York's Winter Garden Theatre and ran for 133 performances before going on the road<br>.) .....<br>"The Passing Show" began in 1912 (not counting an 1894 production at the Casino Theatre) as a Winter Garden Extravaganza and became an annual event until 1924.<br>The cast included MARILYNN MILLER (in what had been her Broadway debut), JOHN FREEMAN, MURIEL WINDOW, ARTHUR WHITMAN, ETHEL AMORITA KELLY, FRANCES DEMAREST, WILLIAM DUNHAM, GEORGE W. CONDITION: (Please Note!) The top edge has been trimmed, there are several edge tears and a handwritten comment on the left side of the cover. Despite these flaws, this rare flyer will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
