Offered here is an antique Silver Repousse Betel Nut Box. I believe this dates to the mid 1800 from what I could find out from the former owner as it had been passed down over many generations. It is elaborately decorated in a deep repousse with six figures and ornate leaf and floral scrolling. The lid fits very tightly. The top and bottom edges have several ridges with a fine intricate rope beading. The lid is also very ornate with a foliate design and more intricate rope beading in concentric circles and there is a Sulemani Agate mounted in the very center.<br>I have tried to rotate and show many clear photos for the condition and will be happy to send anyone additional photos.<br>This box measures 3 1/2" in height by 3 1/4" in diameter.
