Almost all items are made to order. Please check current estimated delivery times before ordering.
My second revision negative carriers for Omega/Saunders LPL 4550 enlargers. This new revision switches out the 3D printed plastic posts for metal bolts. Most standard carriers now also have a +1mm flared top to help improve the shadow sharpness of the edges of the negative when projected onto the baseboard.
Simply pick the negative size and frame size of the specific size you are looking for. If your size is not available or you would like something custom, just let me know!
This carrier functions in much the same way as the original carriers though it lacks the hinge mechanism, meaning it is best to place and adjust the negative before placing the carrier in the enlarger.
Border / Frame-Size Options
Standard - the opening is the standard size, either from the OEM or based on the measurements of the exposed area, to fully mask the negative
Bordered - the opening is a little larger than standard to expose part of the rebate of the negative. This is mostly for printing a black border around your image. Note this can impact flaring.
Full-Frame - the opening goes all the way to the film edge exposing the entire rebate (including frame numbers and, for 35mm, sprockets). Due to potential flatness and flaring issues, this is best used when you want to specifically print the entire rebate.
Note that the carriers are frequently updated which is not always reflected in the photos, particularly given all the combinations. Your specific carrier may have improvements not otherwise seen in the photos. If you are curious about what those may be, feel free to contact me and I can provide the details and optionally CAD drawings.
These were designed by me and are printed on demand using Atomic PLA on my modified Prusa MK3s 3D printer. They should bring you years of reliable use when using them for normal printing sessions as long as they are stored reasonably. Store them with your lenses (e.g. not in an attic on a hot summer South Texas day shoved in an unnamed box to be forgotten about for 20 years).
